A DRINK-DRIVER was caught behind the wheel while three times the legal alcohol limit.

Geoffrey Wade, 31, of Walnut Avenue, Chichester, admitted committing the offence while driving a VW Transporter in Haslar Road, Gosport.

A test revealed his breath contained 112 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.The legal limit is 35mcg.

Wade was ordered to do 40 hours of unpaid work and banned from driving for two years. He was told to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £160 costs by Fareham magistrates.
