A MAN has been banned from driving for more than a year after admitting drink-driving.

Ian Clarke was stopped on the A3M while driving a Peugeot 206 on March 16.

A test revealed the 47-year-old, of Maple Crescent, Waterlooville, was more than double the legal limit.

He had 86 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than the 35mg limit.

He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 18 months.

Magistrates also ordered him to pay a £350 fine, a £35 victim surcharge and £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
