A DRIVER has been fined for drink-driving.

Jacob Cherian, 49, of The Drive, Havant, was stopped in Northern Road, Portsmouth, on November 28.

A test revealed he had 81 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than double the 35mg legal limit.

Magistrates banned him from driving for three years. Cherian pleaded guilty to the offence.

He must pay a £400 fine, a £40 victim surcharge, £85 prosecution costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.
