A DRINK-DRIVER who didn’t have a full licence or any insurance has been told to do unpaid work.

Carl McDonnell, 26, was caught driving a LDV flat-bed van in Barncroft Way, Havant.

A breathalyser test revealed he had 93 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – more than double the legal limit.

McDonnell, of Barncroft Way, Havant, pleaded guilty to drink-driving, driving without insurance and not in accordance with a licence when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He was told to do 80 hours of unpaid work and was banned from driving for four years.
