DRINK-DRIVER Joanne Macritchie has been banned from getting behind the wheel.

Macritchie pleaded guilty to driving a Skoda Felicia in The Avenue, Fareham, after drinking too much alcohol on October 19.

A test revealed the 49-year-old’s blood contained 110 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 80mg.

Macritchie, of Marks Road, Fareham, was fined £110 by Fareham magistrates.

She was also told to pay £15 to a fund for crime victims and £85 in court costs.

Macritchie was banned from driving for a year.

However the ban could be reduced by four months on the condition that she pays to complete a government-approved driving course by July 14, 2012.
