DRINK-driver Victor Chandler has been handed a 16-month ban.

The 22-year-old, of Millbrook Drive, Havant, admitted driving a Fiat Punto in Middle Park Way, Havant, while over the legal alcohol limit on March 14.

A test revealed his breath contained 59 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

He also pleaded guilty to driving the car without insurance or a valid driving licence.

Chandler was banned from driving for 16 months and fined £95 by Portsmouth magistrates.

He must also pay £15 into a fund for crime victims and £85 court costs.
