A 61-year-old drink-driver has been banned from getting behind the wheel.

Michael Quainton, of St Edwards Road, Gosport, admitted driving a Rover in Chilworth Grove, Gosport, after drinking too much.

A test revealed his breath contained 40 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mg.

Quainton was told pay £190 in a fine and costs and banned from driving for a year by Fareham magistrates.
