A DRINK-DRIVER has been banned from driving for a year.

Richard Bevis, 47, of Southwick Road, Wickham, was caught in Southampton on July 20.

He was driving a Land Rover at the time and admitted drink-driving.

A test revealed he had 44 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than the 35mg legal limit.

Fareham magistrates fined him £140.

He must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
