A DRINK-DRIVER has been banned from getting behind the wheel.

Terrence Puttrell, from Sydney Road, Gosport, pleaded guilty to driving a Hyundai Accent in St Andrew’s Road, Gosport, while over the legal alcohol limit on March 12.

A test revealed the 69-year-old’s breath contained 48 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Fareham magistrates banned Puttrell from driving for a year.

He was also fined £300, and told to pay £85 court costs and £15 into a fund for victims of crime.
