A MAN has been fined for using a mobile phone while driving.

Carl Chivers pleaded guilty to using a phone while driving a Ford High Cube van in Church Road, Hayling Island, on September 2.

The 38-year-old, from Albert Road, Southsea, was fined £60 and ordered to pay £30 court costs. He was also told by Portsmouth magistrates to pay £15 to a fund for crime victims.

Chivers also received three penalty points on his driving licence.
