MOTORIST Roger Heys was caught driving while almost twice the legal alcohol limit.

Heys, 68, of Hayling Close, Fareham, was driving a Ford Fiesta in Peak Lane, Fareham, after drinking too much on September 21.

A test revealed his breath contained 71 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mg.

Heys was banned from driving for three years by Fareham magistrates.

He must pay £150 in a fine and costs.
