A MOTORIST caught driving while over the legal alcohol limit has been banned from the roads.

Laura Wright, 23, of Biddlecombe Close, Gosport, admitted driving a Ford Mondeo in St Nicholas Avenue, Gosport, after drinking too much on New Year’s Day.

A test revealed her blood contained 131mg of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 80mg.

Wright also admitted driving the Mondeo without insurance or an appropriate driving licence at Fareham Magistrates Court.

She was fined £600, and told to pay £15 into a fund for victims of crime and £35 costs.

She was also banned from driving for a year.
