DRINK-DRIVER Megan Saunders has been banned from getting behind the wheel.

Saunders, 23, from Froxfield Gardens, Fareham, admitted driving a vehicle in Goldsmith Avenue, Southsea, after drinking too much.

A test revealed her breath contained 87 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

That is more than twice the legal limit of 35mcg per 100ml of breath.

Portsmouth magistrates fined the 23-year-old £275.

She must pay £15 to a fund for crime victims and £85 in court costs.

Saunders was banned from driving for 20 months.

The ban could be reduced by five months if Saunders pays to complete a government-approved driving course.
