A MOTORIST has been banned from driving for six months after a stunt went wrong and he drove into a man, leaving him with serious leg injuries.

Robert Cousens, 21, of Chichester, appeared at Chichester Magistrates’ Court, where he admitted careless driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

Cousens had been at a ‘car cruise’ event where he did a ‘burn out’ manoeuvre. He lost control and hit the victim.

He must also complete 130 hours of community service.
