A DRUG addict who admitted stealing while subject to a community order for theft has been spared jail.

Justin Fixter, 37, of Canal Walk, Portsmouth, stole £4.49 of food from a Co-op in Fawcett Road, Southsea, on July 18.

He also stole four duvet sets from Poundstretcher in Cosham High Street on August 30 and a shaver from Superdrug in Arundel Street, Landport, Portsmouth, on September 4.

Fixter was given a six-week suspended jail sentence and told to pay an £80 victim surcharge. He was told to have treatment for drug dependency and put under supervision for six months.
