FORTY cannabis plants were seized in a raid on outbuildings.

Officers from Sussex Police uncovered a cannabis farm at 8.30am on Friday, following a tip off.

Outbuildings at a commercial building in Middle Meadow, Rogate, Chichester.

The plants were in various stages of growth, with an estimated street value of between £5,000 and £15,000.

They were contained in two outbuildings on site.

A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cannabis production and is currently helping with enquiries.

Sergeant Chris White, of Chichester police, said: ‘We welcome any information about illegal drugs and will always take positive action to disrupt criminality.’
