POLICE have released an image of a man they want to speak to about a burglary.
Between midday and 4pm on Monday, July 11 the back doors of a home in Spring Lane, Swanmore, were forced open. A large and distinctive three-stone emerald and diamond ring, laptops, computer consoles and cash were stolen.
On the same afternoon, a man was disturbed at a nearby address claiming to be buying a motorbike. Officers are investigating whether the two incidents are linked.
PC Richard Jones, from the Winchester Priority Crime Team, said: ‘It may be this was a legitimate caller who was at the wrong address, and if so, we’d encourage him to contact us.’
Police would also like to hear if anyone has seen suspicious behaviour in the area. Anyone with information can contact PC Jones on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
