EIGHT people have appeared in court in connection with an alleged paedophile ring.
The seven men and one woman face a total of 121 charges of serious sexual offences relating to three young victims.
The eight who appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court are: Robert Hathaway, 36, of Tyesley Road, Portsmouth, who faces charges including rape, sexual assault and causing a child to engage in sexual activity.
Melissa Noon,29, of Tyesley Road, Portsmouth, is charged with sexual assault, causing a child to watch a sexual act and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Daniel Bell, 26, formerly of Emsworth but now living in army barracks, is facing charges of distributing indecent images of children and aiding or abetting the rape of a child.
Lee Parson, 27, of Arundel Street, Portsmouth, faces charges involving indecent photos of children.
Simon Hilton, 28, of Wolsey Road, London, is charged with assault by touching and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Mark Day, 45, of Whitefriars Meadow, Sandwich, Kent, is facing charges of facilitating a sexual offence and aiding or abetting the rape of a child.
John Maddox, 46, of Ellis Avenue, Rainham, Essex, is facing charges including aiding or abetting the rape of a child.
Stephen Fraser, 41, of Hemingford Road, Cambridge, is facing charges of making indecent images of children and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
A trial, expected to last up to two months, is due to start on September 26. Day, Bell and Maddox were all released on conditional bail. They will have to stay at their home addresses, report regularly to police, and not contact any witnesses or children under 16, or go on the internet.
