A man has died after he suffered a medical episode at the wheel in Stubbington.

The man, aged 85, was driving a silver Skoda in Park Lane, Stubbington.

He was taken ill at the wheel and his car crashed into a vehicle parked near the doctors’ surgery in the village.

Paramedics were sent out and took the man to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham with ‘life-threatening injuries’ where he later died.

A passenger in the car was not injured, and there was nobody in the parked car.

The accident happened just after 11am today and Park Lane was closed for investigation until just after 1pm.
