A MAN caught flouting his anti-social behaviour order by possessing alcohol in public has been sent to prison.

Jay Hawkins, from Gosport Road, Fareham, pleaded guilty to having an open and an unopened container of alcohol on him in Fareham.

The 38-year-old also pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing £4.89 of lager from the Co-op in Gosport Road, Fareham, on the same day.

Hawkins was sentenced to six months in prison by Portsmouth magistrates.
