SHOPLIFTER Silas James has been ordered to pay compensation.

James, from West Street, Fareham, pleaded guilty to stealing clothes from Peacocks at Cremer Mall.

The 19-year-old was given a 12-month conditional discharge by Fareham magistrates.

He was ordered to pay £54 in compensation to the store. James must also pay £42 in court costs.
