A NEW food and drink festival is coming to Waterlooville.

Following the success of the Petersfield Festival of Food and Drink, organisers want to bring a similar event further south.

Michael Wait, organiser, said: ‘I am delighted to be bringing the Festival to Waterlooville this year.

‘It is completely free of charge to visitors and I hope people will come along on the day and have fun.

‘This is also a great opportunity for the town centre shops to get involved and promote their businesses.’

Visitors will be able to sample a mouth-watering selection of food, most of which will be provided by local producers.

Buskers will be providing live music throughout the day. The festival takes place from 9am to 5pm on July 26. For further details on how to take part call Mr Wait on 07879 750432.
