Fight in the street leads to injuries and arrests

THREE people were injured and a mobile phone was stolen in a street brawl.

The punch-up happened in Botley Drive, Leigh Park, between two groups of men. Police do not know what started the fight but say three men aged 17, 18, and 19 were injured

A Sony Ericsson mobile phone was also taken.

PC Andrea Heywood, from Havant police, said: ‘The police need clarity on the exact circumstances of this incident and are therefore appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have important information.

‘If you were in the area at the time and saw the groups of youths, witnessed the altercation, or indeed had any interaction with anyone mentioned, please get in touch with police as soon as possible.’

The fight happened between 5pm and 5.30pm on Thursday, February 10.

Three 17-year-old boys from Havant, an 18-year-old man from Portsmouth and an 18-year-old man from Havant were arrested on suspicion of assault and violent disorder.
