Former assistant headteacher from Portsmouth denies possessing indecent pictures of children

A FORMER assistant headteacher appeared before Portsmouth Crown Court and denied indecent exposure and possessing indecent images of children.

Matthew Hill, 38, who is currently living in Fareham, pleaded not guilty to five charges of possessing indecent images of children and one of outraging public decency.

This morning, the court heard Hill had been dismissed from Lyndhurst Junior School, in Crofton Road, North End.

It is understood none of the charges relates to pupils there.

Parents at the school have also been notified by letter of the situation, the court heard.

The case was adjourned for a trial, which is due to begin on September 30.
