FRAUDSTER Kyle Goulding has escaped having his prison sentence increased.

The 27-year-old, previously of Magpie Walk, Waterlooville, admitted fraud by false representation and failing to surrender to custody.

He had tried to trick staff into thinking he was returning a £44.99 set of Bluetooth speakers at Sainsbury’s Broadcut on June 8.

Appearing via video in jail he pleaded with magistrates not to increase his current 56-day jail term for theft and other matters. Portsmouth magistrates agreed Goulding, who has 118 previous offences, has tried to turn his life around. He was given a six-month conditional discharge with £195 to pay.
