A MAN was attacked by three robbers who pushed him to the ground and kicked him repeatedly.

The 26-year-old victim suffered swelling and grazing to the side of his face and minor injuries to his hand.

Hampshire police

Police have revealed the assault happened between 5.25pm and 6pm on Saturday when the man was walking home on Grove Road South, in Southsea, Portsmouth.

Three people approached him and robbed him of £25 after he was beaten.

Now police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A Hampshire police statement said: ‘This was a busy time of the day and we would ask anyone who saw this incident to contact us on 101 quoting 44150325742.

‘Alternatively information can be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.’
