Two Portsmouth men cautioned after police seize cannabis advertised online

A YOUNG girl was pulled from her bike and hit in the stomach by a man in an assault in Gosport.

Hampshire Police said the eight-year-old girl was cycling outside Gosport Family Centre, in Kent Road, when the man approached her.

We are thoroughly investigating this matter and would urge anyone with any information to get in touch with us as soon as possible

He then pulled her off her bike and hit her in the stomach.

The girl did not suffer any injuries in the assault, which happened between 11.50am and 12.30pm on Saturday, June 6.

The man was tall, was wearing dark clothing, and a hooded top.

Detective Constable Pete Bambury said: ‘This incident took place in broad daylight and I’d like to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened or anyone who saw this man hanging around the area.

‘We are thoroughly investigating this matter and would urge anyone with any information to get in touch with us as soon as possible.’
