THIEF Andrew Bishop has been jailed.

Bishop, of Williams Close, Rowner, Gosport, pleaded guilty to stealing chicken worth £37.50 from a Co-op store in Gosport on November 9.

The 39-year-old also pleaded guilty to possessing heroin in Portsmouth the following day.

He was jailed for four months by Portsmouth magistrates.

An order was made for the drugs to be forfeited and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
