THE principal of a college has spoken of her shock at a ‘tragic’ incident that left two teenage girls dead.

Olivia Lewry, 16, was a pupil at St Vincent College, in Gosport, studying a diploma of vocational education.

She died in hospital after being hit by a green Honda Civc near the junction of Ann’s Hill Road and Brougham Street, in Gosport, on Sunday at 4.15am. Close friend Jasmine Allsop, 14, died at the scene.

Di Lloyd, principal at St Vincent College, said: ‘We’re sending our sincere condolences to Olivia’s family.

‘She’d been a student at the college since September.

‘We’re very shocked and saddened.

‘At the moment everyone is coming to terms with it and we’re preparing to support the students who are coming in today.’
