MOTORIST Matthew Marlowe was caught driving while twice the legal alcohol limit.

He pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Astra in Rowner Road, Gosport, after drinking too much.

A test revealed the 26-year-old’s breath contained 82 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit allowed is 35mg.

Marlowe, of Forton Road, Gosport, was fined £150.

He was told to pay £15 to a fund for crime victims.

And he was also ordered to pay £150 in court costs by Fareham magistrates.

Marlowe was banned from driving for 20 months.
