LAGER thief Samuel Armstrong has been caught out.

Armstrong pleaded guilty to stealing a crate of Heineken lager from the Co-op store in Palmyra Road, Gosport.

The 18-year-old, of Sherwood Close, Gosport, was ordered to spend 24 hours at an attendance centre by Fareham magistrates. Armstrong must also pay £15 in compensation to the Co-op.

Magistrates made no order for costs.
