MAGISTRATES have fined a man for possessing a knife.

Darren Craig, from Rothesay Road, Gosport, had the black-handled knife on him in the same street.

The 40-year-old pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing an article with a sharp blade or point.

He was fined £300.

Fareham magistrates told him to pay £15 to a fund for crime victims and £85 in court costs.

An order was made for the knife to be forfeited and destroyed
