A MAN from Gosport has denied a slavery charge.

Hadley Doran is accused of holding a man in slavery or servitude, forcing him to undertake work for little or no payment. It is alleged to have taken place in Essex and Suffolk, and dates from July 1, last year 2012 to March 23 this year.

Doran appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court yesterday.

The case is adjourned until July 15.
