Gosport man jailed for string of thefts

A MAN has been jailed for 12 weeks after admitting a string of thefts.

Ricky Hobbins, 27, of Cambridge Road, Gosport, stole alcohol, a cap, gloves, screws, tacks and a Peugeot key from a garage in Manor Way, Lee-on-the-Solent.

He admitted the charges at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He stole a sat nav, sunglasses and a pair of boots from Newport Road, Gosport and attempted to steal property from a home in Swanage Road, Lee-on-the-Solent.

Hobbins also stole part of a torch from a home in Westcliff Close, Lee-on-the-Solent and a sat nav from Westcroft Road, Gosport. The crimes were committed between January 31 and February 2.
