A MAN caught stealing from a barrister on the day he was released from prison on licence has been sent back to jail.

Scott Carrier, 27, of Sampson Close, Gosport, admitted stealing an iPhone.

He also pleaded guilty to later attempting to steal a deodorant from a Co-op store.

Carrier admitted a separate charge of possessing class B drug cannabis in Gosport.

He was jailed for 25 weeks at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.
