A GOSPORT man will appear in court over the theft of a 27-year-old woman’s mobile phone.

Matthew David Newnham, 19, of Long Drive, Gosport, has been bailed to appear at Fareham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 17.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the theft which happened on Tuesday, April 2, between 6.35pm and 6.55pm in Highfield Avenue, Fareham, while she was walking alone.
