MOTORIST James Turner has been banned from the roads after being caught driving while more than twice the legal alcohol limit.

Turner, 24, of Nobes Avenue, in Bridgemary, Gosport, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Ka in Highlands Road, Fareham, after drinking too much on March 17.

A test revealed his breath contained 87 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres – more than twice the 35mg legal limit.

He was fined £225 and told to pay £85 in court costs and £15 to a fund for crime victims by Fareham magistrates.

Turner was banned from driving for three-and-a-half years.
