MAGISTRATES have ordered two men convicted of criminal damage to pay compensation.

Craig Aldred, 31, and John Fairweather, 46, admitted causing damage to £150 of plants and tiles in Gosport.

Aldred, of Heritage Way, Gosport, also admitted a charge of racially-aggravated assault.

He was ordered not to leave his home between 8pm and 4.30am for four weeks and to pay £150 in compensation by Portsmouth magistrates.

Meanwhile Fairweather, of Gilkicker Road, Gosport, also admitted using threatening behaviour in the incident.

He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £25 compensation and £150 in court costs.
