MAGISTRATES have fined a man for assaulting a police officer.

Darren Clark admitted assaulting PC Samuel Warne in the execution of his duty at his home in Kent Road, Gosport, on April 29

Clark, 27, was ordered to do 40 hours of unpaid work in the next year by Fareham magistrates.

He was also put under supervision for a year.

Clark was ordered to pay £50 in compensation to PC Warne.
