A SHOPLIFTER caught stealing after being released from prison has been sent back to jail.

Richard Horne, 31, of Hayling Close, Gosport, admitted stealing £3.12 of confectionery from a Tesco store in Gosport.

He also pleaded guilty to stealing a £12.22 joint of beef from a Lidl store in the town.

Horne was jailed for 21 days by Portsmouth magistrates.
