MAGISTRATES have fined a woman for possessing class C drug diazepam.

Vanessa Anthony, 43, of Varos Close, Gosport, admitted having nine pills of the drug also known as Valium on her in Gosport.

Anthony was given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £20 in court costs by Fareham magistrates. An order was made for the drugs to be forfeited and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
