We take reports of vandalism like this very seriously because it can be distressing for the pupils, their parents, and the wider community

Chief Inspector Sharon Woolrich

Officers have released the images in a bid to find whoever carried out the vandalism between 8pm and 9pm after breaking into a garage at the school grounds in Oldbury Way and stole aerosol cans

Chief Inspector Sharon Woolrich said: ‘Officers are waiting for the results of forensic tests and are following other lines of enquiry.

‘It’s thought the incident may be linked to a similar break-in to an outbuilding on the school grounds on Tuesday, October 27.

‘Our Neighbourhood teams are also patrolling the area and speaking to local residents to ask if they have seen anything suspicious.

‘We take reports of vandalism like this very seriously because it can be distressing for the pupils, their parents, and the wider community.’

The school was forced to close when graffiti was sprayed on buildings, roof tiles were ripped up and windows smashed.
