A POLITICAL party is hosting a talk about racism and the police.

Criminal barrister Brian Richardson will speak at the Portsmouth Socialist Workers’ Party public meeting on Wednesday.

His subject is The Police, Racism and State Violence and it starts at 7.30pm at Southsea Community Centre, St Paul’s Square.

The meeting has been organised after an inquest into Mark Duggan’s death in 2011 found he was lawfully killed. The party says many people have not accepted this verdict.

Duggan was shot dead by police in August 2011, sparking riots in London and across the country.
