POLICE are warning people to be on their guard against ticket scams as the London 2012 Olympics get ever nearer.

With only a week until people can apply for tickets, police want people to be wary of falling into criminals’ traps of using fake websites to gain people’s debit or credit card details.

The London 2012 ticket application process opens on March 15 via the official website tickets.london2012.com.

People will have until April 26 to apply for tickets.
