THE office of Hampshire Police and crime Commissioner Simon Hayes is moving in a cost-cutting bid.

Staff will this weekend move from Westgate Chambers in Winchester to nearby St George’s Chambers.

The move is part of the commissioner’s strategy to use cost-effective buildings.

The commissioner’s office has secured a ten-year lease on St George’s Chambers and says the move will save about £23,000 a year in the first five years.
