Hampshire teenager faces murder charge after death of baby girl

A Hampshire man has been charged with murder after the death of a baby girl last year.

Hampshire Police say little Ezmai Martin was taken to the Royal Hospital Surrey following an incident at a flat in New Road, Bordon shortly after 5pm on June 28, 2015.

A spokesman said: ‘The girl was taken to Royal Surrey Hospital and subsequently transferred to St George’s Hospital in London, where she later sadly died at the age of seven weeks.

‘Joshua Martin, aged 19, of Salisbury Close in Alton has today been charged with one count of murder in relation to the death of Ezmai Martin.

‘He has been remanded to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today.’
