POLICE are looking to reunite an expensive designer handbag with its owner.

The tan-coloured Mulberry handbag was recovered after an investigation at an address in Petersfield.

It is thought the handbag may have been stolen.

The bag had a matching purse and card holder.

It also held a receipt for a purchase made abroad which the genuine owner would be able to verify with police.

PC Lucia Davies, from the Waterlooville Priority Crime Team, said: ‘The bag was recovered as part of an ongoing investigation into a serious offence.

‘Finding its owner could help with this investigation.’

Police believe the handbag could have been stolen from anywhere in Hampshire.
