Havant man charged following Emsworth assault

A MAN has been charged following an assault on a woman in Emsworth.

The 26 year-old man was arrested as part of an investigation into the assault of a 24 year-old woman on Cold Harbour Farm Road in Emsworth early on Sunday morning.

Karl Gates, from Havant, of no fixed address, has been charged with; taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, section 18 causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He will appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court today.
