A MAN convicted of exposing himself in public says he plans to appeal.

Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court heard that 42-year-old Stephen Hastie committed the crime in front of two women in Havant on July 4.

He was told to pay £50 to each of the victims and £300 in court costs.

The magistrates ordered him to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work in the community within the next 12 months. Hastie will be on the Sex Offenders’ Register for five years.

Hastie, of Bedhampton Way, Havant, denied commiting the offence but was convicted after a trial of exposing himself intending to cause alarm or distress.
