A MAN admitted stealing more than £1,000 of electricity.

Ronald Smith, 34, of Nursling Crescent, Havant, stole the power supply from EON.

He had also denied a separate charge of assault.

But he was found guilty by Portsmouth magistrates.

Smith was told to pay £50 and put under supervision for two years. He must take part in eight alcohol treatment sessions and 27 domestic abuse programme sessions.
